President-elect Donald Trump continues to fill cabinet positions ahead of his inauguration in January. But don’t expect close friend Dana White’s name to pop up as a potential candidate in any particular role. Three handful RNC and one electoral victory speech later, the UFC CEO Dana White still says no to such opportunities.

The three-time Republican candidate and pre-election GOP Nominee serves his final term after defeating Kamala Harris. Donald Trump and White and Co. go way back. When in the early days of White’s UFC ownership, no athletic sanction (even New York) would take a chance on MMA, but Trump did. Ever since, the camaraderie grew and has transcended beyond political beliefs. But that doesn’t change his stance.

I’m in the fight business, which is the dirtiest, nastiest business…[But] There is nothing dirtier than politics. It’s disgusting. It’s gross. I want nothing to do with it.

Dana White to Abe Madkour for Sports Business Journal (@sportsbusinessjournal1998)

This isn’t the first time White has said so. Although a Republican GOP business taskforce member, White started off with democratic aspirations. Holding to it, during “In Search of Excellence” Podcast Episode 112, he even told he’d rather not get into the dirty convoluted switch-up in politics. A more pro-Libertarian and common sense veering White also does have his hands full managing UFC.

As much as White protests about his involvement, it’s quite understandable. He went to the sword and shield at media TV segments to tout the pre-electoral Trump agenda. The Ex-Prez and his accord with combat sports (UFC and WWE) also is a factor for his choice. Among them is former WWE executive Linda McMahon as well, who has been tipped to become the new Secretary of Education. Trump’s UFC accord has been one for ages.

UFC 309’s top 5 Donald Trump moments feat. Dana White

Long-time combat sports fan and UFC supporter Donald Trump was on hand for the star-studded UFC 309 card. The pay-per-view (PPV) event took place at the iconic Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City, New York.

At first place – a number of prominent UFC fighters and on-screen personalities came out in support of Trump. It was no surprise that he received a thunderous ovation at UFC 309. The former POTUS even went viral walking out with UFC bossman Dana White to the tunes of Kid Rock’s “American Badass.”

Secondly, G.O.A.T. Jon Jones won a dominant pay-per-view (PPV) top bill title battle and burst into a Trump-esque dance. Thirdly, Trump also got viral hugging veteran UFC color commentator and podcasting icon Joe Rogan. While their accord is sort of new, it has one splashy tale. Although he supported various Democratic political leaders and independent runs, he lastly endorsed Trump during election eve.

Fourth was Elon Musk and the President-elect facing ginormous “USA!” chants from the live crowd. Musk, the next DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) head of the Trump-Vance administration, former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, ex-Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dana White were subject to overwhelming support.

Lastly, Michael Chandler showered his support for him as well. Chandler lost a hard-fought decision (at least the fifth round) against Charles Oliveira, but did not let it dull his spirit. He had also voiced his support when Trump faced indictment on 34 counts of falsifying business records for 2016.
