He spoke about the process of retirement. James has not decided whether it will be a farewell tour or not. Despite agreeing that he owes it to his fans, he also feels uncomfortable with all the praise and love he receives. That decision is yet to be taken. However, he expressed that he enjoyed being a Laker for six years and wants to be a Laker when he retires.

I have not mapped out how many seasons I have left. I know it’s not many– I am a Laker. I’ve been very happy being a Laker the last 6 years, and hopefully it stays that way– I don’t know how it’s going to end, but it’s coming.

LeBron James has had one of the best careers in the history of the NBA. He holds many of the most important records in the league. And he is already considered one of the best to ever play the game. Being the oldest player in the league and playing in his 21st year, retirement may not be long ahead for the veteran.

To which he responded by saying that he also heard the news only when it came out, and he was not informed by his team regarding the trade.

Curry was also asked about the news a few days prior during a post-game interview, to which he responded by saying that most teams in the NBA try to acquire the best players possible during the trade deadline. But he was surprised that the news went public, which was supposed to be kept private.
