Dan Hooker will fight at UFC 305. Rumor has it, the Kiwi has landed himself a big showdown this August against top lightweight, Mateusz Gamrot. If rumors are true, this upcoming UFC event will host three City Kickboxing stars including Hooker, Kai Kara France, and of course the main event headliner Israel Adesanya.

UFC 305 will take place this August at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. As per MMA Junkie, two anonymous individuals have confirmed the matchup between Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot for an exciting lightweight showdown. While the UFC has not acknowledged any such matchup as of now, Hooker himself posted about it on his Instagram story.

Hooker has previously expressed his wish to fight alongside City Kickboxing teammates Israel Adesanya and Kai Kara-France. No. 4 ranked flyweight contender Kai Kara-France will fight Steve Erceg, while Israel Adesanya will make his way toward the middleweight title again against new champion Dricus Du Plessis.

Hooker last fought in July last year at UFC 290. He fought Jalin Turner in a highly exciting showdown that ended in a split decision in favor of ‘The Hangman’. Meanwhile, Hooker’s potential opponent Mateusz Gamrot last fought Rafael Dos Anjos and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. If the rumors are true, seeing the two lightweights throw down this August in the octagon will be interesting.

Michael Bisping expects to see the “most dangerous” version of Israel Adesanya at UFC 305

Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya recently faced off at UFC 305‘s first pre-fight press conference. The two fighters exchanged some harsh words, which was definitely a heated encounter. Even later, ‘Stillknocks’ made some interesting comments about Adesanya having to convince himself to be there and that he does not have enough time to revamp his legacy.

Michael Bisping recently commented on this in a video on his YouTube channel. The UFC veteran believes they were harsh words for ‘The Last Stylebender’ and it would definitely motivate the former champion in his upcoming title fight.

That’s going to get in his head. That is going to force him to train his ass off, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see one of the most dangerous, nasty versions of Israel Adesanya that we’ve seen.

He recalled how Alex Pereira embarrassed him but he came back and knocked out his former kickboxing rival. This happened back at UFC 287 where Adesanya knocked ‘Poatan’ out avenging his loss at UFC 281. It will be interesting to see what Adesanya does in the octagon this time against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305.
