Ian Garry and Michael ‘Venom’ Page will take each other on in a few days at UFC 303. Page recently sent out a prediction that his fight with Garry would be done in two minutes. His undefeated Irish opponent reacted to this prediction in a recent interview and came out with his own prediction for the fight.

Ian Garry recently sat down for a conversation with MMA Junkie. During his discussion with Mike Bohn, Garry reacted to MVP’s prediction of their fight lasting no more than two minutes at UFC 303.

I bet you he is super cautious and he is super careful because he knows how dangerous I am. I bet you he is going to be sh**ting himself, and he is going to be frozen.

He predicted that Page would try to get him to open up and get a reaction out of him. Garry pointed out how in his fight against Douglas Lima, Page threw just ‘two’ shots in the first two and a half minutes. He predicts ‘MVP’ to have a similar performance at UFC 303. The Irishman does not believe Page can knock him out. Instead, he said he would absolutely dominate the Brit “in every way, shape, and form physically possible.”

Garry plans to be patient and make use of the rounds in his fight against Page. Interestingly, Garry does not want to shoot for the title right away if he scores a win at UFC 303. He said he wanted one more fight before competing for the welterweight title. Meanwhile, Michael Page had a piece of advice for the 14-0 Irishman.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page asks Ian Garry to stop depending on Conor McGregor and focus on himself

Needless to say, Ian Garry is a big fan of the Irish superstar. UFC 303 was supposed to be headlined by Conor McGregor and predicted to be one of the UFC’s biggest fights this year. Garry had pushed to secure a fight on the undercard and finally scored a showdown against Page. However, McGregor pulled out due to injury and Garry was left without his dream fight.

Michael Page recently did an interview with MMA Junkie. There he pointed out the irony of the situation.

I just find it a bit funny, just how things work out. I think he was a bit too stressed about riding on the coat-tails of Conor. So now that this has happened, hopefully he learns that these things can happen and he should just focus on himself. Either way, I’m just glad that our fight is still on.

‘MVP’ was one of the biggest names in Bellator. He recently made his UFC debut against Kevin Holland at UFC 299 and won via unanimous decision. The Bellator star definitely has more fight experience under his belt against the undefeated welterweight. It will be interesting to see how their fight goes down at UFC 303.
