Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been one of the fiercest players on and off the court throughout his basketball career. Green has been involved in many rough fights with rival players. Not only that, Green was once also involved in a tussle with former Warriors star Jordan Poole.
Recently, a leaked audio regarding Green’s tussle with Poole in 2021 has gone viral on social media app X. The Warriors defender can be seen giving out some vile threats to Poole courtside. Also, Green and Poole have reportedly never seen eye-to-eye. This led to Poole being traded to the Washington Wizards during this past 2023-24 NBA season.
In the viral video being circulated by ‘@legendz_nba’ on X, Draymond Green can be seen telling Jordan Poole courtside, “Ho* a** ni** Imma beat the S*it out of you. I will f**k up up.” Also, the Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr recently opened up on the Green-Poole situation and stated that he was ‘most angry’ at Green for the treatment of Poole.
However, Green is the Warriors’ enforcer and motivating captain. Kerr enjoys having Green on his team, but after a championship season, locker-room discord is not something that a coach wants to deal with. Hence, parting ways was the only option left for both parties.

Draymond Green and Jordan Poole had a tormented relationship at the Golden State Warriors. Both stars always had arguments in the locker room as per reports. This eventually led to a fight between the two during a practice session in 2022, with Green reportedly punching Poole in the face.
Notably, Green once opened up on this situation. Green spoke with Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report and said that the leaked tape was part of a plan to harm his reputation.
We go to work every day together. Our lockers are right next to each other, that never changed. We ride the same buses together, we change in the same locker room on the road together — none of that has changed.

Nevertheless, Green and Poole parted ways, with Poole leaving the Warriors in 2023. Poole joined the Washington Wizards when his relationship with Green deteriorated. Furthermore, the Warriors’ roster suffered once Poole left, and the team hasn’t been performing the same since. It remains to be seen how both Green and Poole perform in the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season with their respective sides.
