Michael Bisping on Jake Paul vs Mike Perry

Jake Paul has one of the biggest fights of his career scheduled later this year. He will step into the ring for eight rounds against heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson. However, โ€˜El Galloโ€™ already has eyes over and beyond Tyson and at UFCโ€™s biggest name right now. At his recent press conference, Paul called out Dana Whiteโ€˜s light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Here is what happened:

Jake Paul recently had a throwdown against former UFC contender and BKFC star Mike Perry. After lasting six rounds in his debut fight, Perry succumbed to Paul at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Paul then called out Pereira in the ring itself and actually face timed the UFC champion to challenge him for a matchup. He later talked about it at the post fight press conference.ย

I want everybody. I love this sport. Heโ€™s tweeted about wanting to go into boxing. We got him on the Facetime right there in the ring and I said, โ€˜Yo, can you get out of your contract?โ€™ If he can get out of his contract, then letโ€™s run it. When I asked him that, he had to pause. He looked at his manager.

Jake Paul said that UFC fighters are not their own bosses. He said he wants โ€œall the smoke,โ€ but at the end of the day, Paul questioned if Dana White would let him out. The Problem Child beleived it was too big of a risk for the UFC CEO if he could embarrass โ€œhis No. 1 most praised fighter right now.โ€

It is unlikely that the UFC would let an active contender like Alex Pereira go out and box Jake Paul. Although if a fight does happen, it would definitely be a big PPV sellout. Later, Pereira responded to Paulโ€™s callout on Instagram in his iconic fashion: โ€œLetโ€™s go. Chama.โ€

Michael Bisping thinks Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry was not a technically good fight

Michael Bisping and Jake Paul have never seen eye to eye when it comes to boxing. The former UFC champion has always been critical of Paulโ€™s trash talking, especially when he has not taken on opponents of his caliber. Bisping recently commented on Paulโ€™s performance against Mike Perry.

While โ€˜El Galloโ€™ defeated Mike Perry, that was not enough to impress the UFC commentator.ย  In fact, Bisping was critical of how the fight went, claiming that it was only possible because Paul was much bigger than the BKFC star.

He was all over the place. His feet were crossing all over the place, he was swinging, it was wild, it was reckless. It wasnโ€™t a technical performance.

Bisping accused Paul of cherry picking his opponents that are way smaller and less experienced. The UFC veteran even went as far to agree with Conor McGregorโ€˜s recent tweet. The Notorious called out Paul for matching up against Mike Tyson who is pushing sixty and recently had an in flight medical emergency. The former champion even mentioned stepping out of retirement to fight Paul in the ring.
