"I give you the black card," UFC star Kevin Holland jokes about Donald Trump using 'N-word'

Kevin Holland is one of the popular fighters on the UFC roster. The welterweight/middleweight recently fought at UFC 302 and won the matchup spectacularly. Soon after, Holland shared a moment with Donald Trump, who was cage-side with Dana White after the victory.

Holland revealed the conversation with the former POTUS in an interview with FULLSEND MMA. Holland has a penchant for joking around, and his revelation of the conversation is something like that. However, he also made a statement that appeared to garner controversy.

I apologized for not speaking to him [Donald Trump] the first time I hopped over the cage and uh just overall you know just told him what’s up Mr President and he was like what’s up my ni**a…You got one blunt, brother. And I’m pretty sure I can get the other blunt brothers to say it. But Trump, if you ever want to say that, you can say that. I give you a black card right here, right now, my boy. I heard you hire a lot of black people as it is anyway. So, shout out to Trump!

Cancel culture has affected the world, especially the USA. As such, the word ni**a has offensive racial connotations and has caused many to lose their jobs and livelihoods. UFC commentator Joe Rogan faced severe repercussions for his past usage of the term on his podcast.

Nonetheless, Holland had a successful outing at UFC 302. Michał Oleksiejczuk dropped him in the first round. However, Holland latched on to an armbar in the ground and forced referee Herb Dean to stop the fight as the Polish fighter refused to tap. Holland has always fought regularly and will likely step inside the octagon soon.

Holland has expressed interest in fighting at UFC 303 on short notice, as evidenced by his latest tweet. He had rejected fighting Nick Diaz at UFC 303. He has no qualms about fighting at welterweight or middleweight. Therefore, Holland will have several options if he chooses to be on the International Fight Week PPV card.

Despite rumors of fight cancellations, Conor McGregor has shut it up with a positive post on social media. Top MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani also stated the fight will happen. McGregor has never backed off from a scheduled fight. As such, it remains to be seen whether UFC 303 will be the first.
