It’s safe to say that both Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic enjoyed successful Sundays. Murray defeated Austrian tennis player Jurij Rodionov to win the men’s final of the Lexus SurbitonTrophy. Besides, the Brit will be looking forward to his fourth grand slam appearance at Wimbledon next month.

Adding further to his praise for Djokovic, Murray said, “When he beat me in the final of the (2016) French Open he lost motivation so maybe he can take his eye off the ball for the next few weeks heading into Wimbledon! But congratulations to him – it’s an incredible achievement.”

Andy Murray is quite elated with his Surbiton Trophy win and thanks his family’s constant support in his achievement. Murray showed his gratefulness to his wife, Kim Murray, and his four children, who give him a reason to play the sport that he loves every day. He says, “It’s brilliant to win another one. My kids are always asking me when I go away if I come home with a trophy and that’s been rare these last few years.

“They actually came two minutes before the rain came my wife had to take them back home. So they’ve missed the end of the match but I think they’re watching on the TV so Sophia, Edie, Teddy and Lola – I hope you’re watching and I’ll bring you home a trophy tonight.”

Both Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will once give it all against each other at Wimbledon, with the much-anticipated tournament scheduled from July 3 to July 16, 2023.
