"Hold grown men accountable.." Cowboys' Micah Parsons calls out Draymond Green over early ejection against the Magic as Steph Curry's leadership gets questioned

After staying quiet on social media for a few days, Micah Parsons made his return on Thursday night, but this time his post wasn’t about football. For a change, the Dallas Cowboys pass rusher focused on the NBA, more precisely on Draymond Green.

During the Golden State Warriors 101-93 win over the Orlando Magic, the referee ejected Green following two technical fouls. He kept arguing with the officials, which earned him an early shower that night.

The following day on ESPN’s First Take, Jay Williams revealed insider information about how some of the higher-ups are viewing the situation. Williams claimed that Green’s 21st ejection of his NBA career has been seen as negative for Steph Curry of all people.

Green’s continuous bad behavior has put a question mark on Curry’s leadership skills as one of the senior members of the Warriors team. Williams said:

Draymond Green is diminishing the ultimate legacy of how people are looking at the leadership of Stephen Curry. That’s what’s happening right now.
Jay Williams said

Curry received Micah Parsons‘ backing. The all-pro linebacker advised Draymond Green to get his act together. Parsons wrote on X:

Will the Dallas Cowboys trigger Micah Parsons’ fifth-year option?

Micah Parsons has been one of the most dominant pass rushers in the league since he entered in 2021. The Penn State graduate nicknamed the Lion has accumulated 40.5 sacks in three seasons and was the Defensive Rookie of the Year, along with finishing in the top 5 of the Defensive Player of the Year on multiple occasions.

This should be enough evidence for the Dallas Cowboys to tie Parsons down with a long contract. His rookie deal at Arlington is up at the end of the 2024 season, and his brother Terrence Parsons Jr. is a bit on the edge after not seeing any signs of an extension.

We gonna embrace the rebuild and build something special. Dallas Cowboys for life, as long as they keep cutting them checks.

Well, he has to wait it out a bit longer because, right now, the Cowboys’ primary objective is to sort out their quarterback’s contact. Dak Prescott is in the same boat as Parsons. His contract is up after this season, and he will hit a cap of more than $55 million.

Not only that, they will have CeeDee Lamb to deal with as well. If the Cowboys opt against extending Prescott’s stay in Dallas, then they would have plenty of money to spare for Parsons and Lamb. The 24-year-old would demand something close to what Nick Bosa is earning with the San Francisco 49ers. Bosa currently earns $34 million in AAV, $5 million more than any other edge rusher.
