Over the years, the UFC community has attracted the attention of several prominent individuals as it has established itself in the MMA world. As a result, some of these notable figures have developed strong friendships with one another. A prime example of this is the bond between former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
A year ago, CEO Mark Zuckerberg held a tech conference called Meta Connect 2023, during which he presented new Meta AI profiles. Notably, one of these profiles featured former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. The AI profile, renamed Luiz, was designed to serve as an MMA expert, as created by Meta, and had a similar face profile to that of Adesanya.
It was a partnership between Zuckerberg’s Meta and Izzy, which the latter announced on social media. Zuckerberg is a passionate MMA enthusiast and has been seen frequently in and around the UFC and its fighters. He has developed strong relationships with several top UFC fighters and has even trained with some of them. Notably, it was with the likes of Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Zuckerberg has involved or indirectly showcased a UFC fighter at his conferences. Most recently, it was the former BMF champion Justin Gaethje who received attention from the Meta CEO. However, similar to the situation with Adesanya a year earlier, this incident has stirred reactions in the community, generating responses from many.

Israel Adesanya is arguably one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. Over the years, Izzy has consistently performed exceptionally well inside the octagon, which has contributed to his impressive popularity. Many fight fans have always been avid supporters of Adesanya, and as a result, he has produced some extraordinary moments in the UFC.

Interestingly, the fans were divided. While some netizens acknowledged that Adesanya is making a lot of money, others had completely opposite reactions. As a result, many fight fans seemed to mock and laugh at the collaboration.
