Conor McGregor has no shortage of rivals, and Belal Muhammad might be one of the latest additions to that list. McGregor has previously ridiculed Muhammad’s fighting style and his recent title run. In response, the newly crowned welterweight champion has taken a more personal approach, criticizing McGregor’s recent behavior in return.
Over the last few weeks, Conor McGregor has repeatedly mocked Belal Muhammad’s lack of finishes in his UFC record. McGregor believes that he would easily knock out Muhammad in a potential welterweight title fight. In a recent interview, Muhammad refuted McGregor’s claims and ridiculed the fighter for his drug and alcohol addiction.
Since failing to make his return earlier this year at UFC 303, McGregor has become a laughingstock among some of the UFC’s biggest stars. Aside from Muhmmad, Sean O’Malley and Ilia Topuria have insulted the Irish fighter for alcoholism. Michael Chandler, who waited two years for the McGregor fight, decided to give up after losing faith in the Irishman’s promises.
“there’s something in the air, right? I think that’s cocaine…this guy is always high or drunk…

Despite the unsure narrative, UFC CEO Dana White has promised fans that McGregor will return in 2025. Given the landscape, Belal Muhammad is definitely one of the big names who could potentially fight the UFC superstar. However, before that, ‘Remember The Name’ will have to focus on the task ahead of him.
Belal Muhammad warns his upcoming title challenger Shavkat Rakhmonov
Belal Muhammad‘s title win against Leon Edwards at UFC 304 was a dominant display of wrestling and relentless pressure. The welterweight fighter looked like prime Khabib Nurmagomedov after training with the lightweight legend ahead of the fight. After the win, Muhammad became the first-ever Palestinian UFC champion.
After becoming champion, Muhammad faced a title challenge from top welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov. While Muhammad initially hesitated to take the bout, he eventually agreed to defend his belt. Ahead of the bout, the champion has issued a scary warning to the challenger.
🗣️ Belal Muhammad: “I asked for this fight. I’m the hunter, I’m starving. My fridge is empty, I need some Shavkat meat. No diddy.” 😭😭

Rakhmonov is widely regarded as one of the most talented fighters on the UFC roster, boasting an impressive 100% finishing rate. In contrast, Belal Muhammad’s lack of finishes has been a notable criticism of the champ. At UFC 310, the final pay-per-view event of 2024, these two will collide in a high-stakes welterweight title fight.
