Interestingly, even Jamal Murray gave more importance to UFC 299 than the press conference after his 37-point performance helped the Denver Nuggets defeat the Utah Jazz.

Murray is an avid fan of MMA and even grappled with his close friend, Alexander Volkanovski, who was the featherweight champion at the time. He had also attended UFC events much like many other top stars from the big sports leagues in the US.
