Los Angeles Dodgersโ€™ star Freddie Freeman played a huge part in the 2024 World Series. His heroic performance earned him the Fall Classicโ€™s MVP and several applauds. One of them who appreciated him for his efforts was LeBron James. However, the NBA superstar made one mistake which Freeman recently pointed out.

The 35-year-old first baseman recently joined Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce on their โ€œNew Heightsโ€ podcast. In this, the trio would discuss several points including Jamesโ€™ mistake. The Los Angeles Lakers star had misspelled Freemanโ€™s name in one of his congratulatory messages.

After Freeman smashed a home run in Game 4, he created a new record in MLB. He became the first player in the leagueโ€™s history to hit a home run in six consecutive World Series Games. While being genuinely impressed with that, LeBron James would take to his X account and write, โ€œFREDDY FREEMAN WE ARE NOT WORTHYโ€œ.

In this, the 39-year-old misspelled the name Freddie. He would later realize his error and correct the name while replying to the original tweet. โ€œ*Freddie! Anyways youโ€™re a fkn STUD!! Finish yall breakfast!โ€œ, James wrote.

Freeman would playfully point his out and claim he is very particular with his name but does not know the reason why.

Heard, he spelled my name wrong. The first time, yeah, he spelled it with a โ€˜yโ€™. Yeah, Iโ€™m very particular about my name. I just want it spelled right, you know? I heard he corrected it, He put the โ€˜ieโ€™ on it. Um, โ€™cause a lot of people, I think, started correcting him. I donโ€™t know why Iโ€™m particular about my name.

On Saturday, the Lakers hosted the Philadelphia 76ers at the Crypto.com Arena. Before the game, they welcomed several stars of the Dodgers. In one clip, James was seen greeting Freeman and his eldest son Charlie.

The MLB has one of the biggest schedules in sports history with teams playing 162 games. On top of that the players return to the field a month earlier than the opening day for spring training. Freeman would point this out and claim that he probably played around 210 games this year.

162 games is a lot. I never really thought about it, you know? You just do it. You know, you just wake up and go. I played probably over 210 games this yearโ€ฆ We played all the way through October, and so now our offseasonโ€™s even shorter because we have to go to Japan next year. And I mean, spring trainingโ€™s in three months for us and itโ€™s just like, โ€˜Wait a second, yeah, I need more than that. I need more than three months off.

Freeman and the Dodgers will kick off the 2025 season in Japan on March 18 with a two-game series against the Chicago Cubs. This would mark the sixth time, an MLB season has kicked off in Japan. This year, the Dodgers opened the 2024 season in Seoul, South Korea when they took on their division rivals, the San Diego Padres in a two-game series.
