There’s no shortage of iconic in UFC cultures. But some just take the cake on the weirder spectrums. Love him or hate him, 16-2 featherweight prospect Bryce Mitchell remains arguably the only such entertainer. Now, in his nth rant, Mitchell took the war to X/Tesla man Elon Musk again. He returns on the Pay-per-view (PPV) card for UFC 310: Pantoja vs. Asakura, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
No, seriously – UFC and iconic go hand-in-hand. Conor McGregor and his strut. Alex Pereira’s Pataxó march. Jon Jones doing a spinning cartwheel or Valentina Shevchenko’s ballet spin. But Bryce Mitchell represents a whole new weight class of weirdly iconic. Even his WAG stories could give other fighter-better-halves a run for their money. Not giving a hoot about his imminent return at UFC 310, he went ‘Thug Nasty’ on the tech giant.
Speaking to Michael Bisping and Paul Felder on the ‘Believe You Me’ podcast – Mitchell made several bonkers points, including the factual point that NASA’s ultimate goal is to “fake an alien invasion“. Also Mars, like every other planet in the universe, “doesn’t exist“. But it was the topic of Elon Musk and his venture Neuralink company that got him talking out of the ropes.
Bryce Mitchell GOES OFF on Elon Musk and Tesla 😂
“He knows the earth is flat. He’s a lying rat, b*stard…
“These electric cars suck, and they’re gay…
“My 73 will run one of those piece of s*** Tesla’s off the road and crush it like a can of Coke.”

11 months after a brutal KO from Josh Emmett at UFC 296, ‘Thug Nasty’ returns to action this weekend. He meets Kron Gracie on the main card of UFC 310. But the segment was anything but about it. As such, his takes did not just stop there.
Bryce Mitchell goes ‘thug’ and ‘nasty’ over Elon Musk’s Tesla
Mitchell may be a little over his head when it comes to space, electric cars, and microchips. But if there’s one thing “Thug Nasty” can do – it’s fight. But that’s not what makes Mitchell the weird notoriety he is today. He’ll even take the war to the management if he has to. No, it’s not the slogging in the ring, but whatever goes on in his ‘noggin.’
Indeed, the Team Barata MMA fighter is famous for his antics and views, bordering a little east of “weird”. From claiming he could rear-naked choke a gorilla to calling 9/11 a domestic inside job. To even carry a Bible into the octagon, Bryce Mitchell has built a rep for his behavior. It’s not the first time he has slammed Elon Musk and his Tesla products. Now, he went back to it again.
A win in Las Vegas at UFC 310 would be unlikely to move Mitchell up the featherweight rankings. But it would get him back in the win column. Moreover, though, it’s these weirdly quirky takes that give him his growing following.
