It is quite a strange phenomenon when two of the best players of a team that dominated the NBA have that hatred towards each other. It is indeed Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.

Jordan and Pippen’s partnership on the court, alongside their teammates, won six championships, creating a duo that would go on to dominate the NBA for 10 seasons. And after all those years of feuding, Pippen has finally given his flowers to MJ.

You look at the MVPs he was able to achieve. But I think it was all brought from us being successful as a team. Obviously, someone is going to bring those accolades home. But, yeah, he was the greatest player definitely in basketball.
Said Scottie Pippen in the latest episode of the Today Show Australia.

The duo played together for 10 seasons and went on to become one of the best teams the NBA ever saw. From championships to pure dominance, their on-court relationship was unmatchable.

But their off-court shenanigans certainly grabbed equal attention, questioning where it all went wrong for one of the most formidable pairs in the NBA.

And with Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan now on the verge of marrying Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, their relationship keeps getting more complex. But with Scottie Pippen’s recent gesture of giving praise to his old teammate and rival, maybe there is still room for respect between the pair.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s “Frenemies” situation

When you recall the good old days of the dominating Chicago Bulls, you instantly think about titles, winning mentalities, and the duo of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, who were the talk of the city. But little did everyone know that not everything was ‘perfect’.

Since getting drafted and traded to the Bulls, Scottie Pippen would meet his future partner in crime in the name of Michael Jordan, who both would go on to dominate the NBA, winning six NBA titles in their 10 seasons together.

But things weren’t the jolliest off-court, which was revealed and felt after their career. With the release of the ESPN documentary ‘The Last Dance’, everyone was excited to go in-depth about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bull’s reign in the NBA.

Scottie wasn’t happiest for making the documentary about Jordan and not giving himself enough credit. Then began their constraints and hindrances in their relationship, quickly turning from teammates to rivals.

I didn’t think those things stood out in the documentary. I thought it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified.
Said Scottie to The Guardian

Since then, it has just gone sour with each other’s son and ex-wife, who were planning to get married, making the whole relationship even more complex.
