One of Ian Garry‘s main aims is to compete on the same card as Conor McGregor. His desire was set to be achieved at UFC 303, but McGregor withdrew due to a pinky toe injury. As a result, the Irishman received a great deal of criticism, which Garry is not a big fan of.

One of the most eagerly awaited events of 2024 was Conor McGregor’s return fight at UFC 303. Fans, however, were taken aback when Dana White declared the fight would not go ahead. When McGregor disclosed his injured pinky toe, many critics and haters ridiculed him. Ian Garry, went on a tirade saying that no one should ever ask McGregor to do anything because he is among the greatest to have ever done it.

Go f**k themselves. It’s not your life. Who are we to say that Conor should do something? If he broke his toe, which is what he said he’s done, who the f**k are we to tell him to fight? By the way, can we just say this man has broken every record in the game? Owns every pay-per-view record, first two-time world champion, arguably the greatest to ever do it.

Due to the whole drama surrounding Conor McGregor‘s comeback fans were frustrated when they heard about his injury. The ‘Notorious’ was also mocked by UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in a tweet. However, McGregor in his visit to Bellator revealed that he doesn’t want to give his opponents any kind of undeserving advantage.

Hailing from Ireland, Ian Garry has always been a fan of Conor McGregor and has followed his footsteps to success. It was expected of him to show his support to his idol. On the other hand, Garry is currently focused on his upcoming fight against Michael Venom Page at UFC 303. However, the ‘Future’ is not pleased with UFC’s lack of respect for him.

Ian Garry thinks his fight against Michael ‘Venom’ Page should have been the co-main event of UFC 303

After Conor McGregor pulled out of UFC 303, Alex Pereira stepped in to defend his light heavyweight belt against Jiri Prochazka. In order to save the UFC in such dire situations, the Brazilian is expected to get a hefty fight purse. Other than this, Brian Ortega also stepped in to fight Diego Lopes in a featherweight co-main event. However, according to Ian Garry, that’s unfair to him.

Garry recently revealed that his welterweight bout against Michael Page is the second biggest fight on the UFC 303 fight card. The fighter expressed his disappointment towards UFC for not making him it the co-main event bout.

I absolutely think [my fight with Michael Page] is the second biggest fight on the card… There’s so much eyes behind me and MVP in this fight. It’s gonna be huge.

Ahead of the fight, both Garry and Page have gone full out on trash-talking and making fun of each other. The Brit even called Garry a BBL version of Conor McGregor. In retaliation, Garry refused to consider MVP as a legend of the sport and mocked him for not winning any titles in Bellator. Given all the animosity, fans are excited about their showdown in the press conference.
