It’s a no-bets-barred and not injuries-charged kind of stake right now. As the Noche UFC (UFC 306) PPV event draws nearer, tension is high. With UFC 306 less than a few weeks away, title challenger Merab Dvalishvili suffered a facial laceration just an inch below his eyebrow. Bantamweight king Sean O’Malley takes up the issue with that.
After all, a bit nick here, a bit deep cut there, and a fighter could very well pull out. The same agitation happened when Charles Oliveira disclosed a similar injury last year. During the DWCS 68 post-fight presser, Dana White lambasted Dvalishvili for revealing his injury. Dvalishvili’s initial post was captionless and drew a response from ‘Suga.’ Now, he hits back further.

Noche UFC takes place in 25 days, September. 14, at the ‘Sphere’ in Las Vegas. Things have been getting weirdly tense between the two. Subsequently, now this adds an extra layer of anticipation. Not that he ducks out, but is Sean O’Malley using Merab Dvalishvili’s cut to make an out of it? ‘Suga’ hints that the competition might be doing the same.
If not, at the very least, the cut in camp will be the biggest momentous thing to happen to him. O’Malley and Dvalishvili have a lot on the line. They fight for gold and glory in what could be a defining global event of their life. Mean ‘Machine’ Dvalishvili assures he is not going to pull out. Moreover, the Georgian’s closest ally said the same thing.
Aljamain Sterling weighs in favor of Merab Dvalishvili
Dvalishvili (17-4) needed ten straight wins to earn his crack at the 135-pound undisputed gold. Subsequently, the only deterrent so far has been his friend, Ajamain Sterling, not any injury. Much to White’s dismay, Merab Dvalishvili was unwilling to fight for the gold when his friend Sterling reigned as the champion.

Besides the bossman’s favorite pound-for-pound fighter, Jon Jones, Aljo is one of the few who keeps an open line of communication with fans. The former bantamweight king often replies and keeps fans updated on his status and training on a weekly basis. Hence, he understands the title challenger out of the Serra-Longo Fight Team doing the same.
During the much-anticipated build-up for Noche UFC, Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley kept active on social media with skits and snaps. Hence, Sterling is against blowing it all out of proportion. As such, he’ll look forward to the fight between the two entities he is so intertwined with.
