The Boston Celtics are on a roll, as they continue the second half of the season with an 11-game win streak. They stand first in the East as well as in the league with a record of 48-12. Having the most dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics are a lethal scoring threat. Leading the league in offensive rating as well as being the second-best defensive team in the NBA, Boston shall look for nothing less than a championship.

While the Celtics have been the favorites to win the championship for the past couple of seasons, they might just pull it off this year. Chandler Parsons, former NBA player warned the Celtics about their deep postseason run. The defending champs are as strong this season, and will definitely look to repeat the title, being led by Nikola Jokic.

Chandler Parsons had the following to say on the Run It Back show:

I do think at the end of this season if they end up, don’t reach the Eastern Conference Finals or if they get their a** kicked to the Nuggets in the NBA Finals, I do think they’re going to look at that like a failure, I think they’re going to look at Mazzulla a little side ways. We have the pieces, we have the team, what’s the issue?

The Celtics look better than ever this season, as they recover from the Eastern Conference Finals loss against the Heat last year. In 2022, the Celtics did reach the NBA Finals, but were outperformed by Curry’s Warriors. Apart from teams like the Bucks and the Cavs, there aren’t many squads that are a threat to Boston. With their current performance, the Celtics are the heavy favorites to top the East.

Following their championship, Jokic and the Nuggets are doing pretty well themselves. Standing among the top three teams in the West with a record of 42-19, Denver has a great chance at making another finals run. Both teams have been phenomenal offensively. Recently, the Celtics beat the Warriors by a 52-point margin. The Nuggets on the other hand are on a six-game win streak.

While Denver faces threats from teams like the Clippers and the Wolves, Jokic and Murray’s duo is one of the most lethal ones to face in the postseason. It will be interesting to see the Nuggets make it out of the West. Boston and Denver have been the anticipated teams to win the title for a while. The Nuggets have done so recently, and all eyes are on the Celtics to pull off the same.

Boston is 1-3 when it comes to the Conference Finals while having Tatum and Brown on the roster. They look to make a deep run this year as well, winning the championship along the way.
