However, the young scorer has had to overcome multiple injuries throughout his career, with three back surgeries in just five years. In fact, Porter has said that for many players, one of those surgeries would be career-ending. Despite this, he has managed to come back and perform at a high level, averaging 14.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting an impressive 38.6% from beyond the arc.
Porter’s defense has also improved significantly, with his massive 7-foot wingspan being utilized by coach Mike Malone to cover any opposing drives to the basket.
