Colby Covington and Jon Jones have a long-standing rivalry fueled by genuine animosity. The two fighters have never held back from trading insults, often escalating their feud with bold and inflammatory remarks. Recently, their contentious relationship reignited, bringing their heated exchanges back into the spotlight.

Colby Covington recently lost his UFC return and blamed it on his lack of training. He revealed that he was busy due to his participation in Donald Trump‘s election campaign. Jon Jones took this opportunity to mock him via X and now Covington has snapped back at the heavyweight champion.

He wishes he had these kind of looks and was this beautiful and had this much respect. He has no respect, he lost all his respect when he started doing drugs and started hitting pregnant ladies. There is nothing to respect about Jon. He’s cheated his whole career, cheated on his wife, cheated on his taxes. He’s a terrible person. So, f*** Jon Jones.

Jon Jones fought Ciryl Gane to win the heavyweight championship and then defended against Stipe Miocic. On paper his time in the heavyweight division is a great success, however, it’s not that simple. Many have questioned Jones’s lack of intent to fight tough opponents such as Francis Ngannou and Tom Aspinall.

When Jon Jones faced Stipe Miocic, many fight fans were critical of the matchup, questioning the decision to have Jones defend his belt against a fighter in his 40s. Despite the backlash, Jones and Dana White defended the choice, presenting it as the right move. Recently, Sean O’Malley weighed in on the topic during a discussion on his YouTube channel, sharing his perspective on Jones.

You don’t have to fight again. Greatest of all time, people will say…Jon Jones or you risk it, go fight Tom Aspinall and possibly lose. What do you do? Just completely avoid that fight.

O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch expressed that Jones isn’t scared of fighting anyone, however, might be concerned about getting a life altering injury. Aspinall believes that Jones wants more money and is trying his best to negotiate that with the UFC. It would be interesting to see how the promotion manages to deal with this going forward to meet the public demand.
