The BKFC brand face and “King of Violence” is recently facing the wrath of new co-owner and equity needle mover Conor McGregor. Now, Perry has also faced arrest in Florida on October 12 on a pair of charges, for driving under the influence.
The UFC veteran and BKFC star faced jail time for DUI, along with refusing to sign a citation. This was in his home state of Florida. According to online records, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office booked Perry, 33, at 1:04 a.m. on the 12th. The arresting party, Clermont Police Department in Clermont, FL., caught up with him about 25 miles west of Orlando. Booking in at 4:36 a.m., he came out 5 hours later at 9:41 a.m. after posting $1,500 bond.
Mike Perry is due in court on the 30th of October. A five-year veteran of the UFC, Perry has had quite a shift. He has become BKFC’s reigning “King of Violence” after his stoppage of Eddie Alvarez last December. Perry followed up that win with another TKO of Thiago Alves at the BKFC “KnuckleMania” 4 headliner. He then took a crossover this past July into boxing with Jake Paul.
Paul won his eight-round cruiserweight battle for DAZN pay-per-view with a sixth-round TKO. It is after the Tampa headliner that part-owner Conor McGregor went on a ‘Notorious’ rage and “fired” him. Holding his stake with McGregor Sports & Entertainment and Triller TV, ‘Mac’ has been adamant about the cold game of life and Perry getting the boot. However, despite recent absences, BKFC President David Feldman has good news.

It’s no new news that a testosterone-ey combat sports athlete would get into extracurricular troubles or road rages. BKFC’s Mike Perry is no different logging in his first DUI offense.
However, the fighter has no record of resistance to arrest, incited violence, or as such that would hamper his return. Aside from potential penalties for a second-degree misdemeanor in the State of Florida, Perry is Scott-free in 60 days. The only bump on his return track to BKFC would be Conor McGregor.

It’s left David Feldman wondering if the all-action fighter is making the right move by transitioning to crossover boxing. While he does not give in to the alleged firing and is sure he’ll return, Feldman has some thoughts.
Mike has to get back in there now, …and make everybody erase that fight with Jake Paul because right now that’s in people’s minds, and people didn’t like it. …He needs to do that and we’re looking to put him in the ring in January against a marquee name. If he wins that fight, I think he’s back…he’s great at bare-knuckle fighting, but not necessarily good at boxing. This is his sport. I didn’t want him to go outside of this sport, because it’s just a different sport.

Interestingly, the Irishman hinted at the reason for his ire and a door for return opening, for Perry. His ignoring a Dave “Redneck” Mundell middleweight callout is why McGregor insisted on his out. If so, there could be a clear lane in January to return for title gold.
