Fighting prowess and an excellent personality that resonates with the masses make for a perfect star. It is a formula that has produced fan favorites like Derrick Lewis and Daniel Cormier, who never seem to have a dull moment. In the case of Lewis, every time he steps inside the octagon, fans are poised to witness a thrilling KO followed up with a hilarious octagon interview.

Moving into the last leg of his career, Lewis reflects on his past behavior and feels it is time to change up his act. Incidentally, an uncomfortable interaction with young kids seemed to have invigorated this change. It appears the heavyweight fighter has realized the impact of his superstar status, especially on the younger audience.

This year, I have been trying to spend a lot of time with my kids at school. They are in elementary and stuff like that. So me going to school, one of the kids ask me my balls and it’s just very uncomfortable. I wanna like change up everything; I am not even gonna take my shorts off.

‘The Black Beast’ is finally making his return to the cage after securing a KO over Rodrigo Nascimento. Derrick Lewis has a big personality that resonates quite well with the MMA community, along with his peers. His antics have been so hilarious that veteran UFC fighters feel he can make the switch to WWE without breaking a sweat.

After a decade inside the UFC and competing for the gold, Lewis still believes the best is yet to come. The Texas native is confident that he is stepping into this prime at 39 years of age. Talking in retrospect, Lewis ensured to put his old foe, Daniel Cormier, on blast, dubbing him to be a s***bag. Now, the UFC Hall of Famer has finally offered his reaction and seems to have come to terms with his errors.

The duo have enjoyed a rather short-lived yet entertaining rivalry with another leading up to UFC 230. This was his first and only crack at undisputed UFC gold, which ended up not going his way. The rather friendly beef over Popeyes’ chicken seemed to be in the past, but it looks like DC’s latest comments may have reignited the beef.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani, DC walked back down memory lane to recall what occurred between the two. Pretty quickly, DC realized his error and how his past conversation about retirement may have irked the fighter the wrong way. His comments may come from a good place, but ‘The Black Beast’ simply isn’t ready to call it a career just yet.

I was pretty hard on him about retiring because he had lost a couple of fights. I was kinda telling the truth. He seemed mad at me, but I haven’t seen him. I am gonna seen him this week, and I am gonna ask him, are you mad at me?

Derrick Lewis is arguably one of the most wholesome fighters on the UFC roster now. The mixed martial artist is looking to make yet another run towards the world title, but his WWE aspirations are still intact. Whatever the case, seeing him on the WWE screen would only help the promotion, as he would bring his army of fans along with him.
