The Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight was the talk of town over the past week. However, many claimed the fight was setup as a โ€˜cash grabโ€™, which may have tarnished the legendary fighterโ€™s legacy. Following the controversy, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas proposed his willingness to sacrifice his own legacy. This will come in the form of a $100K challenge to internet sensation Kai Cenat.

On a recent episode of the Gilโ€™s Arena podcast hosted by Gilbert Arenas, the crew discussed the idea of deliberately losing a fight for money. The discussion came after Mike Tyson pocketed a $20 million paycheck even after losing against Paul. Arenas did not hesitate for a second, proposing his willingness to lose a 1 on 1 matchup against Kai Cenat in exchange for a big payday.

If Kai [Cenat] wanna play me 1-on-1 for $100k, I lost!

Arenasโ€™ proclamation came after former former NBA player Brandon Jennings expressed his displeasure. Jennings claimed that Mike Tyson โ€˜hurt his legacyโ€™ by losing a fight to much younger Jake Paul. Arenas argued against that notion. He said that losing a โ€˜gimmickโ€™ match for money after having established a great career does not diminish someoneโ€™s legacy.

He explained his stance by proposing a hypothetical 1 on 1 against the biggest streamer on the internet, Kai Cenat. Gilbert Arenas was a 3x All-Star in the league. Meanwhile, Cenat has no professional basketball qualifications, but the former star hooper argued that he would willingly drop a game for even a $100K.

Gilbert Arenasโ€™ daughter has a stunning basketball debut

Children of present and former NBA stars are popping up all around the world. While Bronny James may have been the first to make it to the NBA alongside his father, Gilbert Arenas kids arenโ€™t too far behind. 16-year-old Alijah Arenas is already one of the top young prospects in junior basketball and projected as a five star prospect. However, he isnโ€™t the only one in the Arenas family making their mark.

In a recent post on Instagram, Gilbert Arenas revealed that his 15-year-old daughter, Hamiley Arenas had made her High School debut. She channeled the Arenas gene by dropping 27 points and 13 rebounds and 6 assists in just her first game for Notre Dame High School.

She joins her siblings in a long line of athletes to dominate from a young age. Although her brother Alijah Arenas is a household name within the hoop community, her elder sister Izela Arenas is also carrying on the Arenas gene. She recently made her D1 collegiate debut with the Louisville Cardinals. Only time will tell how they progress to the professional level.
