Sean Strickland is staying busy while he’s staying busy. In pure “Strickland” terms, that means the 33-year-old tore somebody a new. It’s no surprise that the unhinged former middleweight champ would do that. Nevertheless, once again, it’s directed at Navy SEALs. One in particular — David Goggins.

During his sitdown on This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von (@TheoVon), Episode 476 at the Durango Casino, Sean Strickland hurled a few more usual brazen thoughts on Goggins. He even billed him as a “glorified pu*k” who did all the running while others did the hard work. Now, the former Navy SEAL and ultramarathon runner invites him to his personal ‘Hell Week’:

So you guys have to sign a waiver before this camp…It’s going to be full of running, rucking, swimming, weights, calisthenics, pull-ups, push-ups…So all you out there who have run your mouth, make sure you tag those [people]…this is your opportunity to show the world that you can fu*k me up…Strickland, I haven’t forgotten about your video. I hope I see you there

David Goggins had cornered Tony Ferguson just a numbered card after Strickland’s appearance on the show. Best-selling author Goggins has created a grueling week of training designed to break participants mentally and physically. The lightweight legend became the first athlete to complete the arduous ‘Hell Week.’ But it did not save Ferguson as he slipped to a seven-fight losing streak at UFC 296.

‘Tarzan’ showered his usual profanities and challenged him to a 15-minute spar, which now births this challenge. This only adds to a long volume of indignities the Xtreme Couture fighter has subjected the Navy SEAL community to. Recently, he gave praises to ex-NAVY Seal Mitch Aguiar (2-1 MMA) after a hard sparring. Contrarily, Goggins receives nothing as such.

The former UFC middleweight champion recently defeated Paulo Costa to earn possibly another shot at undisputed gold. Now, Sean Strickland awaits the winner of the UFC 305: Du Plessis vs Adesanya Australian Pay-per-view headliner to stake his claims. While ‘Tarzan’ keeps himself occupied in his usual gigs like sparring and motorcycle exploits, he has a new challenge ahead.

David Goggins is no usual challenger. He has enough militaristic mettle to go the distance. He also boasts a World record, with 4,030 reps of pullups. Additionally, he has added motivation to face the unhinged former titleholder. Strickland has long doused warring words at him and his Navy SEAL brethren. More recently, he downplayed his achievements over the year as “playing a character.”

The 49-year-old recently issued a challenge to complete his famed ‘Hell Week’ and prove him wrong. Away from active participation, the American middleweight and people’s champ is ready for such a challenge.

David Goggins, I heard you want a piece, challenge accepted. Just so you know man, the only thing you’ll ever beat me at in life is running. Guess what? I don’t have to fu*king run. You run from me…

No matter how UFC 305 pans out, Strickland is single-minded for middleweight undisputed gold. Hence. in usual “Strickland” fashion, he is willing to take on new challenges. If it proceeds as planned, the challenge has all the potential for a massive crossover feud. Hell Week or not, all in all, this feud will turn hellish by any means.
