Victor Wembanyama was a victim of a poster dunk during last night’s 112-102 home loss against the Golden State Warriors. His assailant, the Dubs’ big man, Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Jackson-Davis’ monster dunk on Wemby has been one of the the talking points of last night’s win as it happened to one of the season’s Defensive Player of the Year contenders and it gave the Warriors a 10-point lead with 73 seconds left on the clock. Wemby at 7-foot-4 has been difficult to get past but the way he was dribbled past and posterized with a one-handed slam set the arena on fire, including the announcer, Bob Fitzgerald.

Victor Wembanyama wasn’t expecting his rookie season to turn out the way it has. The Spurs are bottom of the Western Conference standings with an abysmal record of 14-51, but an NBA insider says the franchise isn’t worried about their star rookie getting upset.

The insider, ESPN’s Zach Lowe made this known during an episode of Lowe Post Podcast. He said that nobody in the Spurs franchise is worried in any way about his happiness and all they’re bothered about is finding an established guard to complement the rookie.

Though the Spurs weren’t expecting to battle for the championship this season, it has been one to forget with them languishing at the bottom of the table throughout the ongoing campaign. With the addition of several promising young players like Devin Vassell and Malaki Branham, the Spurs are expected to build a formidable roster around Wemby.
