UFC CEO, Dana White had mentioned earlier that the Las Vegas Sphere had been specified for Mexican Independence Day. He had even shut down rumors about a Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor fight at UFC 306. White cited that he was looking for Mexicans to fight on the Mexican Independence Day. O’Malley being American unfortunately doesn’t qualify that criteria.
