Dustin Poirier revisits Joe Rogan's 'Android bullying' 3 years ago after hilarious exchange on podcast

UFC commentator Joe Rogan has one of the most viewed podcasts in the world, the Joe Rogan Experience. Most of the guests on the podcast come from Rogan’s favorite areas of expertise: fighting and comedy. Recently, UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier revisited a hilarious interaction he had on the podcast.

Poirier was the guest on episode 102 of the Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show. On the podcast, Rogan had hilariously bullied Poirier into buying an iPhone. Poirier had an Android phone and had some trouble getting something from it, making Rogan urge the fighter to buy an iPhone. Nonetheless, Poirier didn’t succumb then and now, as evidenced by his latest tweet.

When Poirier was on the show, he was days removed from his victory over Conor McGregor at UFC 257. At the time, the lightweight title was vacant as Khabib Nurmagomedov retired after he defended the title against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Poirier could’ve fought for the title but chose a trilogy fight with McGregor instead.

Islam Makhachev, Nurmagomedov’s protege, is now the champion and the pound-for-pound king. Poirier’s upcoming fight is against Makhachev in the main event of UFC 302. Just weeks after, McGregor would make his comeback against Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303. If both McGregor and Poirier win their respective fights, a fourth fight will likely happen, potentially for the undisputed title.

The UFC’s recent fight night at St. Louis was a massive success. Several fights and fighters entertained the fans in attendance. One of the best fights on the card was between Mateusz Rębecki and Carlos Diego Ferreira, with the latter winning the fight via 3rd TKO. The Brazilian got a Performance of the Night for his victory.

Incidentally, Ferreira was Poirier’s first lightweight fight. After losing to McGregor at featherweight, Poirier moved up, and the Brazilian was his opponent. Poirier won the fight via 1st round TKO, winning the Performance of the Night bonus. The Diamond from Lafayette, Lousiana reposted the tweet with trivial information on his X.
