Alexander Volkanovski has made some big plans for his future in UFC. ‘The Great’ is one of the most popular fighters in the world, and fans are eager to see him compete again. Volkanovski wants his featherweight title back, but before that, he has some plans with Conor McGregor or Dustin Poirier.

Alexander Volkanovski recently did an interview with ESPN where he was asked about his potential return. The Aussie revealed that his next featherweight bout is for the title. However, he doesn’t mind fighting Conor McGregor or Dustin Poirier while waiting for it.

Dustin Poirier would be an incredible fight. Big name, very very fun fight. I will put a few more, Conor McGregor…. Whatever, the lightweight division looks good. But my next featherweight fight is for the belt.

After Dustin Poirier’s defeat against Islam Makhachev, Volkanovski immediately mentioned a potential dream match-up between him and the ’Diamond.’ On the other hand, fighting McGregor is most fighters’ dream, so why would Volkanovski not try to get the ‘red panty night’? However, the chances are looking slim for the former featherweight champion.

Volkanovski has won just once in his last four fights. They all had high stakes, and Volkanovski paid the price by losing his title to Ilia Topuria at UFC 298. Topuria is presently preparing to defend his championship in a potential battle against Max Holloway. Volkanovski, on the other hand, is the number one contender and has the opportunity to fight for the title next, but Dana White is unsure.

Dana White is always eager to extend UFC to new countries and the next one on the radar is Spain. This became possible after Ilia Topuria’s undefeated title run, and White is now focused on holding a pay-per-view event in Spain.

White has no plans for Alexander Volkanovski’s rematch with Topuria. During a UFC presser, White expressed his excitement about going to Spain and the Volkanovski rematch.

I want to go to Spain. we’re going to Spain. If there’s a venue available for us, we’ll be there. We’re definitely going to Spain … and it would be a pay-per-view…I don’t know yet(Volkanovski’s rematch)It just happened. I’m not even thinking about that right now.

Topuria intends to compete at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu and is excited to defend his title in his home country. Given the enormous fan base in Spain, UFC Spain will undoubtedly be a major pay-per-view event, even though the promotion has not confirmed anything.
