There had been much speculation around potential opponents like Nate Diaz or a rematch against Charles Oliveira. Recently, a fan posted a video of Oliveira’s octagon introduction on X and tagged ‘De Bronx’. The fan had written that he needed to see Oliveira fight in the octagon again before the end of the year. The Brazilian responded to this tweet and wrote – “Soon and you gonna be surprised.” It is important to note that the former lightweight champion has also been looking for a big matchup. His most recent fight was against Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300 for the #1 contender spot for the lightweight title. Oliveira lost that fight via split decision.
