The news broke on Saturday, October 12, when Tomas candidly shared in an Instagram comment that she and the 41-year-old star parted ways “months ago.”
In response to a fan inquiring about her current relationship status with Garfield and expressing admiration for him, Tomas gracefully replied, “We broke up months ago, but I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved.”
Addressing another user’s pointed question about her continued mention of Garfield despite his silence on the matter, Tomas assertively fired back, stating, “Sweetheart, the only people who ever talk about or center a man in my life, work, business, and social media are women like you.”
Their romance first made headlines in March when they were spotted hand in hand during a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham. Garfield, a man of mystery when it comes to his love life, shared in a 2021 interview with Bustle that he deliberately keeps his personal affairs under wraps. “I’m not in the public eye to a great degree because I’ve designed it that way for myself,” he disclosed.
Despite his openness about his career, Garfield remains staunchly committed to maintaining his privacy in matters of the heart. In a recent interview with Esquire, he reaffirmed his stance, stating, “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone ever.”
