Former President Donald Trump is no stranger to the UFC and its fighters and often visits the fight nights. Surprisingly, in one of his recent election rallies, the ex-POTUS called out former UFC double champ Henry Cejudo on the stage. Interestingly, Trump fumbled the name while introducing the Olympic gold medalist. Soon, the clips went viral.

Donald Trump is an avid combat sports enthusiast, and on several occasions, he has heaped praise on UFC athletes. Most recently, he even named former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov as the greatest fighter. However, weeks after that, Trump praised another UFC fighter. Interestingly, he got confused with his surname and called Henry Cejudo as Henry Cedujo.

He won the Olympic gold medal and he is the UFC and was the UFC champion, numerous times actually… Henry, you know who I m talking about? Henry Cedujo (Cejudo)…

Interestingly, the former UFC double champion didnโ€™t react to it and then endorsed the ex-POTUS. In doing so, Cejudo also mentioned that he loves America and heaped praises on the way Trump works for its betterment. As for the ex-POTUS, he shares a great bond with several UFC fighters, including โ€˜Triple C.โ€™ In one instance, Trump even mourned the demise of Cejudoโ€™s elder sister.

On the other hand, Henry Cejudo often discusses political topics on his podcast episodes with Kamaru Usman. Interestingly, they even engage in arguments about their contrasting political views. Cejudo, in particular, frequently speaks highly of America despite his connection to Mexico. In one such instance, โ€˜Triple Cโ€™ even mentioned how he would always represent America worldwide.

Henry Cejudoโ€™s accolades in the sport of wrestling and then MMA are not unknown to anyone. In 2008, at just 21 years of age, Cejudo won the Olympic Gold. Since then, his journey has been amazing. He soon transformed into a MMA fighter and eventually became a UFC double champion. During this journey, Cejudo represented the US in every tournament or fight of his career.

With several accolades in his name, Henry Cejudo is still competing in the UFC. However, he hasnโ€™t been in the best of form lately and is currently on a two-fight losing streak. The most recent loss came against the Noche UFC headliner Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 298. Now, whatโ€™s next for the former double champ remains to be seen, with retirement nowhere in sight.
