The Milwaukee Bucks are presently the third seed in the Eastern Conference table. The team had a good run for most of the regular season, but they have been recently struggling to win as the playoffs are approaching. They have lost three of their last five games.

The former two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo recently spoke on his team’s performance and what they need to do to play better. He said that they need to stop having discussions and ask themselves if winning the championship is what they want. They must question the effort and work they are putting in. Also, if they are fighting for what they deserve and what their goals are for this season.

Giannis told his team to be ready to compete and do everything that takes to be good. He added:

Guys are tired, that’s an excuse. New coach, excuse. New system, excuse. New defense, excuse. All of it, it’s excuse. At the end of the day, you’re going to go out there and try to play basketball.”

The Bucks hired Doc Rivers as their Head Coach in December 2023 after the team requested to fire Adrian Griffin. Buck’s performance has gotten worse since hiring the new HC, which certainly has been a topic of discussion among fans.

Doc Rivers blames the players for the loss against Memphis Grizzlies

The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the 13th seed in the Western Conference the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. Just before the All-Star break, the third seed in the East was unable to perform and had a shocking (113-110) loss.

Doc Rivers talked about the loss in the post-game interview. He slammed the performance of the team at the beginning of the third quarter and overall blamed the players. He stated,

We had some guys here, we had some guys in Cabo.

Fans were furious at Rivers’s statement and claimed the reason behind the mistakes made by players was poor coaching. The Bucks are 3-7 after firing their Head Coach Adrian Griffin and hiring Rivers to improve their performance. But the decision has gone downhill as they are getting the exact opposite results. Their season has worsened after Rivers’ joining.
