Deville became the first WWE superstar to openly declare herself gay. She had previously thanked her fans, who supported her on the journey and made her comfortable with who she is. Her relationship with Toni was made official when she proposed to her on February 15. Cassano’s positive reply was expected, but Sonya was shocked to get a ring in return when she handed over her ring to Toni.
