During the pre-game shootaround, Stephen Curry went to the opposing tunnel area and launched a shot. His effort bounced off the backboard and went in.
This shot was from way beyond the end of the court. Some claimed that the shot might be 120 feet in distance for which there is no official measurement. This might be close to the world record of 113 ft 6 in set in 2022 by Joshua Walker.
The Golden State Warriors superstar’s shot was impeccable as it was just a single attempt. In comparison, the world record held by Walker was recorded after multiple attempts from that distance. Curry hurled the shot with fans, his teammates, and other staff watching with multiple fans recording the feat on their phones.

Joshua Walker was filmed while setting his world record attempt at the longest shot by a male. Like Stephen Curry, he took the shot from the tunnel. However, the differences between the two can be seen in the photos. Curry lobbed the shot from close to the end of the fans’ seating area.

Stephen Curry has shown that he has the range to take the record away from Joshua Walker. Getting close to the record on his only attempt shows the accuracy of Curry. He threw the ball a bit to his left to compensate for the ball spin.
