Despite going scorched earth on ‘Inbr*d’ Team Khabib, Conor McGregor picks first-round victory for Islam Makhachev

“The Notorious” Conor McGregor built his brand of trash-talks and impressive performances inside the octagon. McGregor’s most heated rivalry was with Khabib Nurmagomedov. Since Nurmagomedov has retired, the Irishman seemed to have set his sights on his protege, Islam Makhachev.

McGregor recently dissed several fighters, including Nurmagomdov, in a Q&A session. Now, days before UFC 302, headlined by Makhachev and Dustin Poirier, the Notorious went scorched earth on Team Khabib for an alleged staph infection on Makhachev’s legs.

McGregor’s rivalry with Team Khabib stemmed from when the UFC booked him vs. Nurmagomedov. Due to the actions of Nurmagomedov and McGregor before, during, and after the fight, UFC 229 remains a notorious event in MMA history. Nonetheless, despite the brutal dissing of Team Khabib and numerous allegations, McGregor seems to appreciate Makhachev’s talent.

Stars had aligned for a fourth fight between McGregor and Poirier. Since McGregor has no belief in an upset victory for Poirier, it seems the Irishman has other plans after a potential win over Michael Chandler at UFC 303. From his recent interviews, it looks like McGregor intends to fight at welterweight rather than lightweight.

Conor McGregor disses welterweight contender Belal Muhammad

Conor McGregor’s recent rant on Kamaru Usman, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Ilia Topuira, Alexander Volkanovski, Belal Muhammad, and Leon Edwards went viral on social media. Some, like Usman, took offense to it, while others, like Volkanovski, took it with a pinch of salt.

Now it seems like McGregor’s not leaving Muhammad, who will fight for the welterweight title at UFC 304 in Manchester against Edwards, off the hook. McGregor retweeted a hilarious fact tweet, comparing an OnlyFans model and Muhammad to troll the welterweight title challenger.
