Donald Trump had a rough week as a New York courtroom found him guilty on 34 counts. However, he seemed unbothered by it as he entered a hero’s welcome at UFC 302. Several fighters like Kevin Holland, Sean Strickland, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Alex Pereira interacted with the former POTUS.
Trump had earlier revealed that Khabib Nurmagomedov was one of his favorite fighters. At UFC 302, Trump had a brief conversation with Nurmagomedov after the conclusion of the main event. Ali Abdelaziz, Nurmagomedov’s manager and an ardent Trump supporter, was also near the duo.
Nurmagomedov was at the event on the corner of Islam Makhachev. He had a tense time in the corner, as Makhachev had it hard against Dustin Poirier. On the other hand, Trump looked entertained by the fights he saw. After Trump arrived, only the Paulo Costa vs. Sean Strickland fight was lackluster.
Trump received a standing ovation at UFC 302 when he walked out with Dana White. Moreover, every time the broadcast showed him, Trump received the loudest pop. Only light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira received a similar pop. Interestingly, Pereira had taken a picture with Trump just before he entered the venue.

In addition to UFC CEO Dana White being a close friend, Donald Trump also has the support of several UFC fighters. Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Justin Gaethje, Michael Chandler, Eddie Alvarez, and others have publicly endorsed Trump. Moreover, after his recent conviction, Trump received support from Chandler and Ryan Garcia.

He stated that Nurmagomedov was one of his favorite fighters, and he used to inquire about Nurmagomedov’s potential return to Dana White. However, he knew it was a long shot as Nurmagomedov had promised his mother he wouldn’t fight.
Trump also revealed he liked Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal. He even credited Masvidal with his popularity among the Hispanic population. Trump also revealed he liked Colby Covington, who is a MAGA Republican. He also found it hilarious that Covington and Masvidal are sworn enemies and have fought each other.
The former US President also praised UFC CEO Dana White. Trump credited White as a loyal human being. White was possibly the first celebrity from the sporting world to endorse Trump publicly. White even spoke at the Republican National Convention during his first presidential run.
