Darvin Ham, the assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks, is enjoying the team’s NBA Cup success. But Ham’s thoughts haven’t been far from his time as the Los Angeles Lakers’ head coach, which ended abruptly last season. Ham was fired following the Lakers’ postseason loss to the Denver Nuggets.
This happened despite having guided the team to a conference finals berth and another postseason trip. Darvin Ham recently shared his thoughts on leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, saying that he believed his performance remains positive considering the downfall of the team in the 2021-22 season.

Despite having a 9–12 postseason record, Ham’s coaching record with the Lakers was 90–74 over two seasons. Nevertheless, Ham felt that his accomplishments deserved a lengthier stay as head coach. He underlined that the losses were frequently highlighted over his team’s accomplishments, such as their play-in victories and victories over formidable opponents.
