Current Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull has voiced his dissatisfaction with Donn Davis following PFL’s acquisition of Bellator. This tension between the fighter and the promoter rose amidst recent developments. This has echoed the warnings from UFC CEO Dana White, who cautioned fans about the PFL just a few months ago.
Patricio Pitbull recently voiced his frustrations on X, criticizing Donn Davis for what he described as poor management of Bellator fighters. According to the Brazilian star, many athletes under the promotion have not even competed once this year. Pitbull concluded his post with a bold statement, hinting at the possibility of leaving the organization.
Patrício Pitbull is often considered the greatest fighter in Bellator history and the promotion’s most iconic figure. He last fought in March at a Bellator event in Belfast, Northern Ireland which was a massive success. He delivered a dominant performance, retaining his featherweight title with a third-round knockout of Jeremy Kennedy.
As far as PFL providing everyone 2 fights this year, I really hope that’s what’s gonna happen and not because many more will be cut.
I want PFL to succeed, it’s good for the sport and for fighters.
That said, I want to leave right away. Can we agree to it this week? (2/2) https://t.co/Zvx4NS45H8

Pitbull’s recent comments came in response to Davis addressing the increasing frustration among prominent Bellator fighters, who have expressed concerns about inactivity since the promotional takeover. This latest drama was earlier predicted by Dana White who suggested that PFL can go into bankruptcy.
Patricio Pitbull wants to join Dana White’s UFC after latest fallout with PFL boss
UFC is undoubtedly the biggest MMA promotion in the world which attracts most of the top fighters. While PFL Co-founder Donn Davis is trying his best to compete with Dana White’s promotion, it currently does not pose any threat. In the past, former two Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison also made her move from PFL to UFC.
Now, it seems like this process is going to continue in the future. Patricio Pitbull has publicly talked about his intentions to fight in the UFC. Other than the pay and star power, he is doing this for his legacy.
