Is it even compulsive gambling if it’s a sure hand and a winning disposition? That would be the way to describe UFC CEO Dana White and his gambling trait. Every now and then, White goes viral for hedging big bucks and then some at the table in between fight cards. Many of which see him winning. His gambling habits have also given way to some cool behind-the-scenes stories.
Dana White is not the know-it-all in gambling. His friendship with SteveWillDoIt of the NELK Boys and Taylor Lewan has taken him places. Once, he even got to learn about slot machines, seeing them amass $43,000 on the plus during play. During a weekly podcast appearance for ‘2 Bears, 1 Cave‘ with Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer, White described the origins of similarly learning Baccarat.

White reveals that said ‘Japanese Gangster’ entity lost a $25 million hand at his stomping grounds, the Caesars Palace. The same guy who won double that at The Venetian Resort, Las Vegas. The person was buzzing for the spot bet he just lost, and much of the Asian community out of China similarly tried their hand. White describes a dedicated player base that would scribble stuff and stay on track till 7.30 A.M. to play Baccarat.
From there, it’s now a whole other story. It’s not like veteran micsman Bruce Buffer cameoing at ESPN’s 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event or playing feats in eight-handed $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em. Nevertheless, White has his gambling moments; he is a proud Palms Casino Undisputed Blackjack Championship Belt winner after all. White soon achieved some mastery in Baccarat too and recently even went viral playing a 15k hand of Baccarat with @MKG_Sports.

The UFC CEO is full of bubbling ideas and viral initiatives. Dana White is infamous for his love of gambling, announcing key matchups via IG Live, Nitrocorss, competitive livestock racing for the PBR Camping World Team Series Championship, and Slap fighting. These have kept him busy for most of the last few years.

With such a stunning home for all his ideas, it’s no wonder White and Co. put on a string of shows even when the coronavirus pandemic hit. With UFC honoring extended contracts and keeping the grind on via interesting sponsorship television, the streaming audience and fanbase grew sixty-five percent during COVID-19.
Attributing to much of his motivation is his UFC office in Las Vegas which is utilitarian yet practically residential. Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports once visited the premises. White’s actual office contains various expensive objects and photos. His extensive AK-47 desk artwork has bullet clips of every essence man has ever gone to war for. Like oil, cocaine, gold, blood, diamonds, and so on.
Legends such as Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali hang on walls. There’s also an original Iraqi Yakuza remembrance painting, for which White originally forked $200,000 to a friend, non-hesitantly. The piece was so graphic that he had to put it in storage. Months later, bemused, the UFC boss was told that he had put a $1.2 million original painting in storage and that it had been duly moved.
Dana White also has belts and trophies from his blackjacking days on the Las Vegas Strip. The Palms Casino even gave the multi-millionaire CEO a custom belt to commemorate his $1.6m win.
