Dana White is a big Mike Tyson fanboy and he has made it clear to everybody. The two combat sports icons have a great relationship with each other. The UFC CEO had many things to say when the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was first announced. However, when recently questioned about the fight being postponed, Dana White had nothing to say.
Dana White recently sat down at the UFC 302 post-fight press conference. After a successful event, the UFC CEO was addressing questions from the media. This was when a reporter asked him about the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight being postponed.
Obviously I know a lot about it but I’m not going to talk about it publicly. For the first time in all my life, I have no comment on something.

The UFC CEO said it was Mike Tyson’s world and how the boxing legend gets angry every time White comments on his health and boxing. White said nothing further than that they would “figure it out”. However, the recent case with Mike Tyson was a cause of concern for many.
“For the first time probably ever in my life, I have no comment on something.”

It was reported that the boxing legend suddenly needed medical attention when onboard a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Tyson later addressed the issue and revealed that he had an unexpected ulcer flare-up and that his doctors had advised him to lighten his training for a while. Following this, the news of their fight being postponed came out.

Everybody was waiting to see Mike Tyson again enter the ring for a fight with Jake Paul. After much criticism, the fight was revealed to be a proper pro fight rather than simply an exhibition bout. Everybody wanted to see if Mike Tyson could still knock out an opponent at age 58. However, now that the fight has been officially postponed, many would not be surprised if the fight never happened.

According to reports, Tyson would need clearance from doctors to get back into training for a fight. As such, it is highly unlikely that he would get medical clearance to step into the ring professionally. Even if he did, he would be putting himself in severe danger since getting punched with an ulcer is not a great idea.

Tyson’s last professional bout was in 2005. The long hiatus plus the 30-year difference is a huge detriment to Mike Tyson. Now, the health concerns have all but ended hope for this bout, which many believe should not have been sanctioned in the first place.
