Dana White gets trolled by Tom Aspinall for constantly hyping Jon Jones ahead of ‘legacy’ fight

Tom Aspinall and Jon ‘Bones’ Jones have been constantly hitting verbal jabs at each other for a long time. This time, Aspinall trolled the UFC CEO Dana White along with Jones. It appears Aspinall has chosen to go on the offensive to get what he wants. Per the British fighter, the UFC CEO always heaps praises on the UFC heavyweight champion and yet doesn’t let Jones fight him.

In a recent episode of Believe You Me, Aspinall spoke with Michael Bisping and Anthony Smith. In one moment, Bisping questioned the Brit about his take on Jon Jones’ recent retirement news. Aspinall abruptly gave a funny reply to that. Per the Brit, he will retire Jones without even fighting him. Shortly after that, the interim champ also talked about how Dana White often praises ‘Bones.’

Tom Aspinall also showed disappointment towards Jones and White for holding the belt hostage. He believed the UFC CEO should not allow Jones to keep the belt for himself without defending it even once. Interestingly, Jon Jones last fought at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane, where he won the vacated belt. Following that, he was scheduled to fight Stipe Miocic, but it never materialized.

Although Aspinall has long wanted to unify the heavyweight belts, ‘Bones’ has clarified his mind on the legacy fight against Miocic. Even though there’s no confirmation of the fight yet, Dana White is still persistent in hyping up for that fight. There were several backlashes from the netizens. However, the UFC CEO recently responded to put an end to all those trolling.

Jon Jones is one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history. His stench at the promotion has arguably been commendable. As such, he is still at the top of a division even after a decade from his debut. This is one such reason why White often heaps praises on the current UFC heavyweight king. However, apart from this, Jones has had a troubling phase at the promotion as well.
