UFC 306 (Noche UFC) was a successful event, as far as the glams and glitter are concerned. Although most fighters praised the event, some have come out and leveled certain accusations. As such, UFC CEO Dana White and other top brass received certain criticism. UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell remains the most outspoken among them.
Bryce Mitchell recently sat down for a conversation on Jake Shieldsโ YouTube channel. During their conversation, Shields pointed out the Noche UFC shirt Mitchell was wearing and asked what it was like at the Sphere. Mitchell revealed that he could not even get tickets to the fight. The controversial fighterโs remark may put UFC brass in a negative light.
The Sphereโs futuristic design, with its massive 366-foot-tall video screen, enhanced the experience. However, the cost of tickets was sky-high. Floor seats went for around $12,000, with other seats starting at $3,000 before the price drop. Mitchell didnโt mention Dana Whiteโs name, but his comment may have put UFC brass in a negative light.
Bryce Mitchell is a skilled and well-known UFC featherweight. However, he does not hold the same superstar status as some of the top-tier names present at UFC 306. Well-known names such as Jeff Bezos, Paul McCartney, Chris Brown, Jon Jones, Ryan Garcia, and others were present at the Sphere. It wasnโt the only comment that โThug Nastyโ passed on the $20 million-plus event.ย

UFC events give off certain tickets for free. Celebrities and fighters will get them from time to time. In fact, Joe Rogan promised to give his tickets to UFC legend Quinton โRampageโ Jackson. It turns out that he did, in fact, give Jackson the tickets. Nevertheless, Bryce Mitchell didnโt have the same pull and couldnโt go to the UFC Sphere event.
During his conversation with Jake Shields, Mitchell said he enjoyed not going for the Noche UFC event. โThug Nastyโ was in Las Vegas at that time. He has started to go there more frequently. As such, the featherweight remarked that he would rather enjoy a place where he was welcomed than beg for tickets and feel unwelcomed.
Bryce Mitchell has yet to compete in 2024. The last time he fought was last year at UFC 296 against Josh Emmett. Mitchell lost the fight after Emmett knocked him out in the first round. It was one of the best knockouts of the year. With that brutal loss, Mitchell stepped down to #13 on the featherweight rankings. Hence, it will be interesting to see how he fares in his next octagon outing.
