Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowler Tushar Deshpande got engaged to his school crush Nabha Gaddamwar on Monday (June 13) in a beautiful ceremony in Mumbai. The announcement came a couple of days after CSK’s successful season in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where they lifted their fifth trophy.

“She got promoted from my school crush to MY FIANCE,” Deshpande wrote a heartfelt note on his Instagram where he posted a couple of pictures. In one picture, the couple could be seen holding a red ball upon which they placed the rings.

Tushar Deshpande improved a lot in the 2023 season. The 28-year-old who played only two games last year, became one of the match-winners for the Yellow jersey this season. However, initially, he was not that much impressive with the ball, as he leaked far too many runs.

But he improved his bowling and became a wicket-taking option for CSK. He ended the season as the sixth-highest wicket-taker. In 16 matches, he scalped 21 wickets at an economy of 9.92. At the same time, he also faced fans’ criticism for his conceding lots of runs, even in the final against Gujarat Titans (GT) where he gave a whopping 56 runs in his four overs without a wicket at a huge economy of 14.

He made his debut in 2020 and played only five matches for the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). But DC released him which saw CSK acquiring his services for the 2022 season, and as mentioned he played only two games then, scalping one wicket.
