Conor McGregor took social media by storm after partying with his girlfriend, Dee Devlin. Many have criticized the decision, considering he will return in less than a month. Former champion Kamaru Usman had a different opinion from many about the UFC superstar partying.

Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo co-host the Pound 4 Pound podcast. In their latest episode, the duo discussed Conor McGregor’s viral partying clips weeks ahead of UFC 303 comeback. Despite the MMA community criticizing the decision, Usman did not want to judge.

Yeah he’s blowing off some steam, he’s having a great time partying. If that’s what’s working for him, that’s what’s working for him, I don’t judge.

Henry Cejudo brought up the meme synonymous with McGregor’s viral video, where Michael Chandler trains hard while McGregor continues to party. However, Usman retorted that Conor McGregor could be ‘playing possum’ and trying to deceive the other party into thinking he was not training hard. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ argues that the Irish superstar could have dropped by straight from the gym.

The former welterweight champion believed McGregor was smart, and it was simply a promotional stunt. ‘The Notorious’ knows he has cameras on him at all times at this point, and this was an excellent opportunity to get people talking. Despite Usman giving McGregor the benefit of the doubt, others don’t see it that way.

Everybody has speculated that ‘The Notorious’ was trolling people with his partying clip. However, UFC middleweight Bo Nickal came in with a new perspective. According to the NCAA champion, Conor McGregor was in the club, having a good time and not simply trolling people online.

This viral topic was a conversation on every MMA podcast. Bo Nickal also talked about it on his show Nickals & Dimes. Like most people, Nickal does not believe in the trolling aspect put forth by some of the MMA community.

You guys see that video of Conor? Bro, that was wild. I didn’t like that either… He’s not trolling…I doubt it, I really doubt if he’s trolling.

One common theme that people point out is the similarity to Ryan Garcia. The Irish superstar will make his much-awaited comeback at UFC 303 this June. If McGregor beats Michael Chandler, it will be interesting to see how the MMA community reacts.
