Controversies have multiplied since Conor McGregor rose to the top in 2016. Outside the octagon, se*ual misconduct allegations and personal damages claims remain levied against the Irishman. Among them, one woman who filed a personal damage claim against McGregor recently found trouble. It turns out the woman faced burglary on the same day as the Irishman’s UFC 303 withdrawal.

One must note that there is no link between the burglary and the withdrawal. Debbie McCann of Ireland’s Extra.ie reported on the woman facing a terrifying burglary. The woman who sued Conor McGregor was not alone in this encounter. At their home in Drimnagh, the woman had her partner and child beside her during the aggravated burglary incident. McCann has detailed what happened.

It is understood that three men wearing balaclavas broke into her home in Drimnagh on Dublin’s southside at around 2.20 am on Friday… The woman’s partner somehow managed to fight the men back down the stairs but received a stab wound to his stomach in the process.

Co-incidentally, the robbery occurred in the early morning at 2.20 am (Dublin Time) on Friday. That is around 9.45 pm, Thursday, in the Eastern Time Zone. At around 10.38 pm, Thursday in the Eastern Time Zone, UFC Dana White informed fans about McGregor’s withdrawal and the new main event featuring Alex Pereira. When following the Eastern Time Zone, the two events transpired around an hour apart.

One of the perpetrators was believed to be in his thirties. They smashed some of the window glasses. The woman’s partner landed a punch and even managed to prevent them from advancing the stairs. Despite the stab wound, a Gardai spokeswoman indicated that the woman’s partner received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The spokeswoman also conveyed that the investigation was ongoing.

The identity of the woman who sued Conor McGregor is not known. Moreover, even the details surrounding the personal damages claim she filed against ‘The Notorious’ remain unavailable. She filed it in the High Court three years ago, and the hearing will take place around November. The entire ordeal poses another question – Is McGregor or his associates involved in the aggravated burglary?

After suffering an undisclosed injury, Conor McGregor recently pulled out of the UFC 303 card. MMA Insiders believe he could return to full fitness sooner than expected. As such, the Irish UFC star could headline any PPV event from September to December, barring any other setback. The case filed by David Coleman’s client will have a hearing in November. As such, the return will likely occur before that.
