Conor McGregor‘s ideal UFC return has unfortunately encountered an obstacle. After a huge three-year break, the former UFC double champion was scheduled to face Michael Chandler. The stage was set for UFC 303. However, McGregor was forced to withdraw from the fight because of an injury. With no more fight obligations, McGregor has debuted a fresh appearance for his fans.

On the auspicious occasion of Father’s Day, Conor McGregor shared a picture of him with his youngest son. What caught the attention of fans was McGregor’s shaved head. The McGregor vs. Chandler fight had all the fans on their toes, and the hype remained unparalleled.  However, things went downhill after the Dublin press conference cancelation.

After the UFC 303 debacle, Conor McGregor finally released his official statement on Instagram. In the caption, McGregor talked about injury and his inability to fight. However, the ’Notorious’ clarified that he would return as soon as he recovers. It was the first time that McGregor pulled out of a fight in his decade-long career in the UFC. Dana White has also refused to give his opinion on rebooking the fight.

On the other side, Dana White was preoccupied with saving the UFC 303 fight card, and Alex Pereira stepped up to save the day. On short notice, the Brazilian accepted the offer to defend his light heavyweight championship against Jiri Prochazka. It was just another evidence of Pereira’s status as the most active superstar in the UFC, something Michael Chandler cannot relate to.

The former Bellator champion spent two years chasing the red panty night, only for McGregor to pull out at the last moment. It has left Chandler’s efforts seemingly wasted. Recently, Michael Chandler finally broke his silence on the whole situation and released his official statement on X. The ‘Iron’ labeled himself the most reliable man and mentioned always being available.

Official statement: “I’m here, just as in 2009 when I started. The most reliable man in MMA. See you when I see you.”
