Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler was the fight everyone has been waiting for. ‘The Notorious’ has not stepped into the UFC octagon in years. As such, his comeback is the most awaited one in a long time. This is why when Dana White announced the press conference for UFC 303, everybody was excited to see the Irishman back in action. However, it looks like things fell out of line at the last moment.
Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were supposed to be in Dublin, Ireland at the 3Arena for the first press conference of UFC 303. However, news came out that the press conference had been canceled hours before it was supposed to commence. The UFC itself came out with its statement which it posted on its Instagram page.
The UFC 303 press conference scheduled for Monday June 3rd in Dublin, Ireland at 3Arena has been postponed until further notice… When we have further information on a new date and time, we will share it immediately. – Thank you.

At the UFC 302 post-fight press conference, Dana White revealed that he was leaving for Ireland soon. According to an insider report in The Sun, Conor McGregor is the root cause of the press conference getting canceled. The Irish superstar had recently gone viral for a series of videos where he was seen partying just weeks before his upcoming fight.

Was the UFC superstar just not in the right condition to appear at the press conference? McGregor broke the silence and reportedly there were “unavoidable circumstances” that led to the press conference being postponed. The press conference was open to all and free to attend.
Where was Michael Chandler when the UFC 303 press conference was canceled?
Everybody has seen Michael Chandler wait a significant amount of time to lock in the fight with ‘The Notorious’. His last fight was in 2022 and since then he faced off against McGregor at ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ last year. This was when the rumors of their potential fight first came up.

Chandler has not directly addressed the cancellation just yet. He recently uploaded a video on his social media of a training session with a teammate at Kill Cliff MMA in Florida. Now that the first hiccup at UFC 303 commencement has already happened, it will be interesting to see what happens before McGregor and Chandler finally step into the octagon.
