Conor McGregor and Team Khabib do not get along even after all these years. โThe Notoriousโ recently talked about picking his winner for Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier. He detailed the shortcomings and advantages of each fighter.
Conor McGregor recently sat down for a live stream with Duelbits. During this live stream on KICK, McGregor talked about who he thinks would win between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier at UFC 302.
I think Dustin does him, knocks him out. I think the things that Makhachev does wrong, the things heโs not good at, he fumbles over his feet usually early on and falls into shots. Heโs been knocked out by a back check hook from a southpaw before inside the UFC, and thatโs one of Dustinโs best shots. If Dustinโs ever going to do it, itโll be this time.

McGregor acknowledged that Dustin does have his shortcomings. Makhachev may use these to his advantage. He talked about Poirierโs last fight where he was struggling with Benoit Saint-Denis. But he made his comeback and secured the win at UFC 299. McGregor said that Poirierโs experience could aid him in facing the lightweight champion.
However, who does Conor McGregor actually want to see win? He answered that question very vaguely. McGregor said that he has a history with both fighters so he would sit back and see how it goes. He has his own fight coming up at UFC 303, almost three years after his last encounter against Poirier.
Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler press conference
Conor McGregor was out of the fight scene for a significant amount of time. Talks about McGregor vs. Chandler first popped up when they coached opposite each other last year at โThe Ultimate Fighter 31โ. After many speculations and cancelations, things are finally progressing.
The dates for the first official press conference for UFC 303 have just been released. It will be held at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler is the main event of this fight card. The tickets to the press conference are reportedly free as per Dana Whiteโs announcement.
Interestingly, both fighters are coming off a loss against Dustin Poirier. They will fight this June at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. With around three years of absence, it will be interesting to see if Conor McGregor is still as entertaining and ferocious as he was when he left.
