Conor McGregor was set to make his much-anticipated comeback at UFC 303, however, due to an injury, the ‘Notorious’ had to withdraw his name. This sparked a new narrative in which fans questioned McGregor’s devotion to his MMA profession. In the middle of all this, YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul shared his reservations regarding McGregor.

It is safe to say that Jake Paul isn’t a fan of Conor McGregor and has called out the Irishman several times. However, in a recent interview at the MMA Hour Show, Paul talked about McGregor’s antics outside the octagon and how it’s destroying his legacy. According to Paul, McGregor is a drug addict and has lost his mind.

He’s embarrassing himself. He’s ruining his legacy with all the drugs and the way he looks online. He’s lost his mind, he’s a maniac and like, I feel bad for the guy now. And so, you could say all these things about him but he hasn’t proven it, he hasn’t backed anything up.

It all started when the UFC 303 Dublin press conference was canceled. Later, Conor McGregor made an official announcement regarding his injury. However, it seems like Paul is not buying any of this at all. Paul is currently aiming for his upcoming boxing match with ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry who stepped in to replace Mike Tyson.

While there is no official report, Paul’s claims about McGregor’s drug abuse can be a potential case. Recently, UFC legend, Chael Sonnen went viral for his rant about McGregor on the Good Guy Bad Guy Show. Sonnen revealed that McGregor is not injured and is currently in rehab for substance abuse. However, surprisingly the now retired fighter has now changed his claims.

After that, Chael Sonnen released another video on his YouTube channel where he claimed that he doesn’t know if McGregor is in rehab. Sonnen also said that if ‘Mystic Mac’ is indeed in rehab, he would be very proud. Sonnen then talked about McGregor being in his pub two weeks before the fight and having a drink.

I do not know that Conor is in rehab, for one. For two, I wouldn’t begrudge or tease Conor in the least if he was in rehab, I would be very proud of Conor, and I would imagine for somebody in his spot, to go into rehab is something you want to keep quiet… I think it was alcohol [in his drink], he didn’t want a mistake to be made, he partied it up and made some bad decisions.

McGregor is the biggest name in MMA, so anything he does makes headlines. After a three-year hiatus, his comeback fight kept fans on their toes. However, it appears they may have to wait a bit longer to see McGregor inside the octagon. While some fight fans are skeptical, others remain optimistic about the situation.
