Francis Ngannou ready for tonight's PFL: ‘Battle of the Giants’

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has failed to hit a return booking. However, the former two-weight work champion is towing the company’s sentiments. Now, McGregor takes the fight to ex-UFC lineal heavyweight Francis Ngannou. Ngannou exit the promotion under quite tumultuous contractual conditions. He is facing Renan Ferreira in tonight’s PFL: ‘Battle of the Giants’ (DAZN/ESPN+) at The Mayadeen in Riyadh.

Francis Ngannou (17-3) and Renan Ferreira (13-3) make their PFL walk out on the top bill, airing on ESPN+ pay-per-view and DAZN (US) beginning at 4 p.m. ‘Predator’ and his rival, the 2023 heavyweight bracket winner Ferreira are expected to walk out to the cage at approximately 7 p.m. ET. The promotion is already touting it as the “Biggest heavyweight showdown” on their ESPN+ broadcast cold opens. ‘Mystic Mac’ has some ideas as to how it’d go.

Tonight’s bet for me. 500k on Ferriera to win by KO at 12/5. $1.7m return. @Duelbits

Crypto Casino & Sportsbook site and crypto casino Duelbits (@Duelbits) sponsor Conor McGregor and his lavish ‘Mac’ nack of betting big. The 36-year-old posted betting slips worth a whopping $1.2 million for the UFC 307 pay-per-view top bill recently. Before that, he bet big on the Fanmio Pay-per-view boxing event and on close friend Cristiano Ronaldo.

His hedge to tip the 39-year-old in the Euro 2024 match against Slovenia aside, Conor McGregor usually wins big on his bets! Unlike Drake, of course. His hedging £86,000 bet on Spain to win 3-1 in Berlin netted a clear £2.2M in winnings. The question is, will the Irish Mystic Mac 8-ball doom Ngannou’s fate? Not if the Cameroonian sticks to his strength and mettle.

‘Giant’ Francis Ngannou flexes again to break the grip strength record for a UFC fighter

Heavyweight is the brand face division in any sect of combat sport. Subsequently, having taken his out as the lineal crown holder at the 265-pound mark, Francis Ngannou helms the state. The likes of former champ Stipe Miocic, and current champ Jon Jones haven’t risen to the purport of defeating him. That is all Renan Ferreira in tonight’s PFL: ‘Battle of the Giants’ (DAZN/ESPN+) headliner.

Ngannou is making his return tonight in MMA after a ginormous 991 days. He dropped a contentious decision to ex-WBC lineal boxing HW Tyson Fury and then faced a knockout. Although he hasn’t faced anyone, specifically in MMA in a while, his prowess and strength are still something people are fearful of.

Ask interim HW Tom Aspinall/ stonehand Alex Pereira who broke his Brazilinator punching machine record. Even they revere the French-Cameroonian for something or the other. One of the strongest heavyweights to ever do it, Francis Ngannou recently revealed again why. While in town at Diriyah, Ngannou was asked to try out the grip test to see how strong he really was.

For reference, he broke Khalil Rountree Jr.’s strength log by almost double digits! Yes …the Rountree Jr that gave shock KO artist Pereira a run for his money with his striking clinic. Ngannou once broke the record for hardest punch, before ‘Poatan’.

The ‘Battle of the Giants’ live weigh-ins on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside The Mayadeen saw quite a size disparity between him and 6’8″ Renan’ Problema’ Ferreira. Hence, some are fearing Conor McGregor’s betting line might just hold. However, if Ngannou has a say in it, his strength will be on full display as he means to live up to his lucrative PFL contract.
